Valley Dental Group is spotlighting Dr. Janet Parsons who began practicing dentistry in 1986.  She started at Valley Dental Group in 1993, and became an owner partner in 2000.

Why did you choose dentistry as a career?

I loved the health sciences and did not want to be a physician like my dad.  I was considering nursing but my dad suggested dentistry because of my love for art and the sciences.

What do you find most satisfying about dentistry?

I love getting to know my patients on a personal level and providing optimal dental care.  I also feel privileged to have a great team of co-workers!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Family, Family, Family!! I have three children and I love attending their sporting events.  I also enjoy the great outdoors.  I love to feed wild birds in my backyard and I attempt to stay fit with various activities.

What is your all time favorite movie and why?

“Sweet home Alabama” I am a softie who enjoys love stories and light comedy.

If you had to pick any celebrity to play you in a movie, who would you pick and why?

Sandra Bullock, because she has a strong personality with a great sense of humor!
